Westbridge development rises from the ground
1st January 2008
A new development in the heart of Beverley is now making its mark on the town’s skyline. A tower crane is swinging into action as the timber frames for the 41 apartments that comprise the Delta development are put in place.
The development, at Mill Lane, is being constructed by East Yorkshire based Westbridge Homes. The properties will also benefit from undercroft car parking – the first underground car parking in Beverley.
Senior Site Manager Jim Barratt said: “The development is really taking shape now. The tower crane is certainly making its presence felt and this is probably the first time that such an impressive piece of plant has been used since the Tesco development – they’re a rare site in a market town.
“We have been on site for six months and a lot of work has taken place on the underground car parking but now the timber frames are being lifted into position people can really see that we’re making a lot of progress.”
The development is already proving incredibly popular, with only 11 apartments left for sale. The apartments range in size from one to three bedrooms and in price range from £99,995 to £154,995.
Westbridge’s sales manager, Caroline Hardaker said: “This is an extremely popular development in a superb location, well within walking distance of the town centre. Parking is always an issue in Beverley and the undercroft parking certainly addresses those issues for residents. The apartments are built to a very high specification and Delta will certainly be an address to impress.”
