Preston and Preston South are geographically separate areas cut in two by the historic town of Hedon.

Famous for

Being home to the Preston Battery during the Second World War and its contribution to the local economy via agriculture. Now, the South Holderness Technology College in the village serves the surrounding villages of Paull, Hedon, Bilton, Skirlaugh, Keyingham, Thorngumbald, Aldbrough, West Newton, Burton Constable, Sproatley and others.  

Local attractions

Holderness is a vast area of the East Riding covering a sprawling, flat expanse of countryside and the section of the coast that contains Withernsea, Hornsea and the southernmost tip of Yorkshire – Spurn Point. Holderness is a nature-lovers playground. Spurn, for instance, is a Nature Reserve and home to many examples of rare wildlife.
