Desirable new homes in historic village

1st January 2008

A former livestock farm in Preston has been transformed into a development of desirable addresses. The good news for prospective homebuyers looking for a move to this delightful East Riding village is that there are still some properties available on site.

Westbridge Homes’ Farrier Mews development at the former Manor Farm comprises 19 high specification homes, which have been constructed on a site that was previously used for livestock.

While East Yorkshire-based Westbridge Homes recognised the importance of the site of Manor Farm in the history of the Holderness village, the completion of the development has also consigned the sight and sound of pigs on the farm into the history books.

The new mixed development of one bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom cottage-style houses is sympathetic to the historic surroundings, which include the Grade I listed All Saints Church. Properties range in price from Prices from £125,000 to £225,000.

Westbridge Homes’ sales manager, Caroline Hardaker said: “We were very aware from the outset that the people of Preston were very protective of the history of their village. They are rightly and justifiably proud of the role that Preston plays in the life of Holderness. With this in mind we developed a range of properties that complement the beautiful surroundings that they would stand in, whilst changing the landscape in a very positive manner.”

Home buyers are now being urged to visit Manor Farm to experience at first-hand how this location has been transformed into such a house hunter’s hot spot.

Members of the public are invited to attend an open day at Farrier Mews on Sunday, January 27th between the hours of 11:00am and 5:00pm where Westbridge Homes’ sales staff will be on hand to answer any questions that potential homebuyers may have.
