Yorkshire company's expansion picks up pace

1st January 2008

Westbridge Homes’ growth shows no signs of abating. This month, the South Cave-based company commences work on three new major developments.

This unprecedented period of expansion will see work begin at sites in Hull and two East Riding villages. Westbridge’s joint managing director Steve Vessey-Baitson says that this is great news for the company and for those looking to purchase a new home.

He added: “It’s unheard of that a developer will commence work on three sites at the same time. As a company we are in a very healthy position, our reputation as a responsible home builder is growing and we are moving from strength to strength. At the same time, those looking to buy a new property know that when they turn to us they will be dealing with a company that they can trust and that our homes are of exceptional quality.”

In Hull, work will start on the development of the former site of the Waterloo Tavern at Great Union Street. A total of 18 one, two and three-bedroom houses will be built on the site, with prices ranging from a very affordable £108k to £130k.

The Keyingham development will comprise 32 one, two, three and four-bedroom houses ranging from £125k to £320k and stands just 800 metres away from the new Keyingham Primary School. The high specification houses range from 504 sq ft to 1,155 sq ft.

The Woodmansey development is a range of exclusive executive homes forming a gated community. These five large detached houses are priced from £325k to £400k.

Steve Vessey-Baitson added: “These three developments are all very different and present homebuyers with a wide range of choice. The diversity of our developments illustrates that when we build homes we are sympathetic and respond to the wants, needs and aspirations of the community and those looking to purchase property.”

Wesbridge Homes’ business boom has also seen two promotions within the company. Collette Clark has been promoted to Field Sales Manager after a successful 20 years as Sales Negotiator, while former Site Manager Jim Barratt has taken on the role of Senior Site Manager.
