Favourite is First Home in Westbridge Homes Classic Stakes
7th July 2007
Appropriately for a race sponsored by many East Yorkshire homebuyers’ favourite housebuilder, the Westbridge Homes Classic Stakes, held at Beverley racecourse on Friday 6th July, was won by the 5-4 favourite, Prospect Court.
Westbridge staff enjoyed the five furlong race and the rest of Beverley’s evening racecard as part of a Sponsor’s Dinner held in the Members Enclosure. Directors Steve Vessey-Baitson and Peter Lee presented the trophy to the winning trainer, Mr A.C. Whillans.
“Beverley is an outstanding racecourse offering superb elevated views to spectators and we are pleased to have seen a worthy winner to the inaugural Westbridge Homes Classic Stakes,” said Mr Vessey-Baitson. “We are currently the most active house-builder in Beverley, with four prestigious apartment developments in some of the town’s most sought-after residential locations, and we are delighted to have raised our profile even higher with this race.”
